Job description

Summary / Objective

The IT Systems Engineer is responsible for analyzing, designing, and supporting the implementation of business system solutions that optimize processes within the glass automotive manufacturing plant. This role ensures that enterprise systems are aligned with business objectives, supports system integration and data exchange, and improves overall operational efficiency.

The position works closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, configure systems, and ensure data integrity and security. This role also includes supporting business system operations on-site and participating in system integration and EDI-related processes.

This position provides opportunities to develop skills in system integration, manufacturing applications, and business process optimization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and assess existing IT systems and recommend enhancements.
  • Gather business requirements and translate them into system specifications.
  • Implement and maintain enterprise software applications to support manufacturing operations.
  • Troubleshoot system-related issues and provide timely resolutions.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to improve workflow automation and system efficiency.
  • Ensure system security, data integrity, and compliance with IT policies.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations and processes.
  • Train end-users on new system functionalities and best practices.
  • Support integration of new technologies into existing systems.
  • Monitor system performance and recommend improvements.
  • Provide on-site support for business systems and applications, including troubleshooting system issues related to ERP, MES, and integration interfaces.
  • Support system integration and data exchange processes, including interface monitoring, data validation, and issue analysis.
  • Support EDI operations and data exchange processes, including transaction monitoring, issue analysis, and coordination with internal teams and external partners.

Required Education and Experience

  • Three years of experience in IT systems analysis within a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of automotive industry standards and compliance.
  • Certifications in IT-related fields (e.g., ITIL, Microsoft, SAP).
  • Familiarity with data analysis or reporting tools.
  • Exposure to EDI or data integration concepts is a plus.
