Job description

DeWitts Radiator, part of AFCO Performance Group, engineers and manufactures high-performance cooling products for general automotive, motorsports, commercial, and defense markets. We are seeking an experienced, hands-on CAD Designer to own the day-to-day flow of product updates, print revisions, and CAD documentation that keeps our production floor moving and product pages current.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute requested product updates from shop staff and customers; manage items through the product update and engineering change request (ECR) tracking boards to completion.
  • Perform 3D CAD modeling of parts and assemblies; update, revise, and maintain all production prints, applying company drafting standards.
  • Support the drawing update, release, and execution process, maintaining documentation in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
  • Create web drawings, dimensioned illustrations, and technical graphics for product pages.
  • Perform 3D scanning and measurement of components for quality assurance and existing product maintenance.
  • Support purchasing and shop requests; collaborate daily with engineering, sales, production, and marketing staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in mechanical drafting, CAD design, or a related design/manufacturing support role.
  • Proven proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and 2D print creation; familiarity with GD&T and drawing standards, plus shop math.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills; thrives in a collaborative team environment.
  • All applicants must be eligible to work in the United States with proper work authorization documentation in compliance with applicable federal laws. Sponsorship for employment visa status is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in CREO and/or SolidWorks; CSWA/CSWP or similar CAD certification.
  • Associate degree or certificate in mechanical drafting, CAD technology, mechanical design, or engineering technology.
  • Experience with 3D scanning and scan-to-CAD workflows; web-ready technical illustrations; PDM/PLM, ERP, or quality/ECR tracking systems.
  • Motorsports experience or involvement (including Formula SAE or similar); familiarity with fluid dynamics and heat transfer concepts, cooling systems and vehicle componentry.
  • Hands‑on fabrication experience (sheet metal, welding, machining, or similar) and general automotive knowledge.
