ProSidian Seeks a CAD Operator (Survey Draftsman) - Construction (Time and Materials | Non-Exempt) to support an engagement for a liquid waste contractor (Savannah River Remediation [SRR]) at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC, which is owned by the U.S. Department of Energy.  

This service supports Environmental Management Sector Clients and ProSidian Team Members (# FTe's: 1.1538461538461537) work as part of a Engagement Team Cadre (Labor Category 30061) to fulfil T&M - Time and Materials (T&M) requirements. 

Responsible to use field survey data to create digital sketches using AutoCAD, in support of SRR Survey, Construction, Operations and Maintenance and Design Services. Candidate will interface with applicable organizations (i.e. Survey Team, Engineering, S

CAD Operator (Survey Draftsman) - Construction Candidates shall work to support requirements for Technical General Support Services (GSSC) related to NAICS: 541690 - Environmental Consulting Services,  NAICS: 541690 - Scientific and Technical Consulting Services - Energy, and NAICS: 591690 - Professional Scientific Technical Consulting Services and

Safety as a  primary responsibility in each job performed. Obey safety rules and make safety an integral part of each task performed.

Create drawings using Carlson Survey, AutoCAD or MicroStation, to produce excavation sketches, topographic maps, as-builts surveys, etc., in support of construction survey activities. Compute coordinates for layout of construction commodities, using design construction plans and drawings, for use by field survey crew.

Prepare as-built field maps for use in the updating and maintenance of current site maps. Interface with applicable organizations to help complete and facilitate new or in-process survey activities.

The CAD Operator (Survey Draftsman) - Construction shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position. Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria. All employees, in the performance of their respective responsibilities, shall conduct themselves in the highest possible standards of ethical and business conduct.  The candidate shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner that meets milestones/delivery schedules as outlined.

Computer aided drafting experience in AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar

General computer knowledge and skills, keyboarding proficiency and extensive use of Microsoft Windows

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word High School diploma with a minimum 4+ years practical CAD drafting experience or

Associates degree in Engineering / Surveying or compatible, with 2+ yrs. practical survey experience or

BS with 1+ yrs. Practical CAD drafting experience BS/AS in Engineering Technology, Technical Drawing or similar

Experience using Carlson Survey CAD software

Experience using MicroStation CAD software

Basic training and/or experience with computation of construction commodities

Basic training and/or experience with drafting of as-builts survey sketches

Basic training and/or experience with drafting of topographic maps

Experience reading design construction plans and drawings A 40-hour workweek is scheduled. SRR construction utilizes a 10 hour per day - four days per week schedule.

A standard work week is Monday through Thursday 6:30am - 5:00pm. However, alternate schedules could be employed.

Workweek excludes SRR holidays.

Casual overtime up to 25% of normal work schedules may be required. Candidate must be a .

Candidates must possess a valid driver's license

Personal vehicles operated by candidate must have valid registration

Personal vehicles operated by candidate must be insured with proof of insurance within the vehicle

U.S.  Citizenship Required - You must be a United States Citizen
