Job description

We are hiring a CAD Drafter with strong production drafting experience to support our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who is fast, accurate, and highly experienced in AutoCAD Architecture, with a deep understanding of construction documents and builder drafting standards.

The CAD Drafter will focus primarily on producing permit-ready and construction-ready drawings based on standard plans, redlines, markups, and design changes.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare complete, accurate construction documents using AutoCAD Architecture for residential projects
  • Revise and update plans per redlines and builder/client feedback
  • Ensure all drawings meet code requirements and internal drafting standards
  • Collaborate with the architecture and CAD teams to maintain quality and consistency across plan sets
  • Support lot-specific drafting, plan set updates, and production deadlines

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience drafting residential construction documents in AutoCAD Architecture
  • High proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit knowledge is a plus but not required
  • Strong understanding of wood-framed residential construction and production drafting workflows
  • Ability to interpret and follow architectural markups, sketches, and builder standards
  • Familiarity with IRC, local building codes, and permitting requirements
  • Strong attention to detail, speed, and organizational skills
