Job Description

Olsson provides multidisciplinary design services for mixed-use, commercial, and residential land development projects, along with industrial, sports, schools, and other site development types. The Design Technician works closely with technical staff to find the best approach to solve engineering and design needs.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists with standard computer-aided design operations including, but not limited to, advanced plan production, plan sheet creation, and entry-level design principles undermoderate direction and supervision.
  • Receives instruction on project objectives, advanced features, and possible solutions.
  • Obtains assistance on unusual problems and has work reviewed.
  • Performs engineering support tasks such as gathering data, updating and maintaining computer files, preparing copies of drawings, and documenting design changes.
  • May be required to work in all types of terrain and weather conditions and on project sites in various stages of construction.
Qualifications

  • Associate degree in drafting or a related field preferred
