MDS is seeking a highly skilled and detail‑oriented Full‑time 3D CAD Operator proficient in Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks software to join our dynamic team. You will play a vital role in creating, modifying, and optimizing 3D models and technical drawings for our diverse range of projects.

Your expertise in CAD software will contribute to transforming conceptual designs into precise technical drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications. Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with customers, sales, planners, engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
  • Utilize Autodesk Inventor software to create 3D models and technical drawings.
  • Conduct design modifications and optimizations to enhance functionality, manufacturability, and cost‑effectiveness.
  • Ensure accuracy and adherence to project specifications, industry standards, and internal quality control guidelines.
  • Conduct thorough reviews and analyses of designs for potential errors, interferences, or conflicts, proposing suitable solutions as necessary.
  • Maintain well‑organized files and documentation for easy retrieval and reference purposes.
  • Utilize Engineering Schedule to manage workload.
  • Stay up‑to‑date with the latest CAD techniques, software updates, and industry trends to continually enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial design, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a 3D CAD Operator, preferably working with Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks software.
  • Proficiency in creating 3D models, technical drawings, and assemblies.
  • Proven experience with Autodesk Vault.
  • Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve design issues effectively.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for CAD modeling and drafting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively communicate ideas and solutions.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and adaptability to changing project requirements.
  • Experience with other CAD software or design tools will be considered a plus.
