JOB SUMMARY
Develop models, drawings, and visualizations of construction projects, new or existing, using industry specific software applications. The primary software used is Autodesk Revit.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate degree preferred in computer aided drafting or related field.
  • Five years' experience in the electrical construction industry, with knowledge of electrical symbols and electrical drafting conventions and standards
  • Two years' experience in Autodesk Revit and other BIM software.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Working knowledge of Evolve Electrica

KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
  • Requires strong project management and analytical skills
  • Proficiency with electrical construction software applications:
    • Autodesk Revit
    • Autodesk Navisworks
    • Autodesk AutoCAD
    • Bluebeam Revu
    • Trimble
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Fluency in the 2D and 3D space

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Advanced understanding of electrical systems.
  • Ability to read, analyze, understand, and interpret design and construction documents.
  • Annotate and dimension shop drawings for field installation.
  • Oversee the creation and coordination of 3D models and 2D drawings for electrical layouts, conduit routing, cable trays, and equipment placement.
  • Bridge the gap between designers, engineers and contractors to increase the understanding of problems and solutions.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for BIM/CAD-related issues on electrical projects.
  • Assist the electrical construction and field team in solving issues throughout the project.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers and other stakeholders to integrate BIM/CAD design to meet project standards.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, project specifications, and applicable codes.
  • Manage and validate models for accuracy, completeness, and constructability.
  • Mentor and train BIM/CAD Operators and Coordinators on best practices and software tools.
  • Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned.
