As a CAD Technician II, you will play a key role in supporting engineering and construction teams by producing detailed, accurate technical drawings and plans. You will work closely with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure project specifications are met and drawings comply with applicable standards.

Compensation:

$30 - $40 hourly DOE


Responsibilities:
  • Develop and revise detailed construction drawings and technical layouts using AutoCAD and/or Revit. 
  • Interpret architectural and engineering design intent into clear and concise construction documents. 
  • Coordinate with engineering and design teams to resolve conflicts or issues in drawings. 
  • Ensure all drawings comply with industry codes, standards, and company guidelines. 
  • Maintain organized drawing sets, revision logs, and documentation records. 
  • Assist in field verification, measurements, and as-built documentation when needed. 
  • Support various departments, including HVAC, plumbing, process piping, ammonia refrigeration, electrical, fabrication shop, and CSA (Civil, Structural, and Architectural). 
  • Collaborate with various departments to support project planning, permitting, and execution. 
  • Review redlines and implement changes accurately and efficiently. 
  • Aid in estimating hours for accurate bidding.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a CAD Technician in the construction or AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industry. 
  • Associate degree or technical diploma in Drafting, CAD Technology, or related field desired (preferred but not required). 
  • Proficient in Revit and/or AutoCAD. 
  • Strong knowledge of construction drawings, detailing practices, and building systems. 
  • Ability to read and understand architectural, mechanical, structural, and electrical plans. 
  • Familiarity with construction documentation, site layouts, and code compliance requirements. 
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively under project deadlines.
