Job description

Our client is searching for a Water Resources Engineer to oversee and coordinate activities within their Water Resources Engineering Department. This role involves performing a variety of specialized engineering tasks, including design, analysis, and field investigations for public utility projects. The ideal candidate will exercise independent judgment in planning, prioritizing, and supervising technical work while ensuring compliance with engineering standards and safety practices.
Job Requirements -
- Coordinate and supervise assigned engineering activities and personnel within the Water Resources team.
- Perform design, analysis, and review of water resource projects, including utilities, infrastructure, and related systems.
- Conduct field surveys and investigations to collect data, verify conditions, and support project development.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, plans, and specifications for accuracy and completeness.
- Develop cost estimates, schedules, and project documentation to support design and construction efforts.
- Evaluate data and recommend design adjustments or process improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Communicate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to address project needs and technical questions.
- Ensure all work adheres to safety procedures, engineering standards, and regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements -
- Bachelor"s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of two years of experience performing civil or utility engineering work, including project coordination or oversight.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required at time of hire.
- Must obtain Professional Engineer (PE) licensure within two years of eligibility.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, design processes, and field operations.

- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.
- Valid driver"s license and willingness to perform fieldwork in varying outdoor conditions.
