The company provides new construction, renovation, retrofit, and service work for warehouse, distribution, pharmaceutical, healthcare, industrial, residential, and retail markets. Due to continued growth, we are looking to add a CAD (Computer-Aided Design) Technician to our Beach Lake, PA team. This role uses computer-aided design software to create and revise detailed technical drawings, layouts, plans, models, and schematics for fire protection projects. Success in this role requires technical proficiency, accuracy, attention to detail, effective collaboration, and the ability to organize and manage multiple project priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce detailed drawings, layouts, and plans using CAD software.
  • Interpret technical briefings, sketches, and specifications provided by engineers and architects.
  • Amend and revise drawings in response to feedback, design changes, and site visits.
  • Ensure drawings comply with applicable legal, industry, and organizational standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve design and documentation issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of drawings, revisions, and supporting documentation in accordance with the company's filing system.
  • Perform regular quality checks on drawings and models.
  • Support design teams with project planning, modeling, and visualization tasks.
  • Remain current with advancements in CAD technologies and practices.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in CAD, engineering, architecture, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or equivalent CAD software.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Understanding of engineering or architectural drawings and principles.
