About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Design Team Coordinator to assist with and execute complex electrical distribution projects. This role demands hands-on expertise in power systems design, GIS integration, and CAD precision. You will play a pivotal role in producing high-quality design documents that meet client expectations and industry standards. Assist in the growth and development of a fast-paced, highly motivated design team by playing a role in hiring, mentoring junior engineers, promoting collaboration, and driving continuous improvement in design processes and technical standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical power distribution systems for emergency, commercial, residential, lighting, and renewable applications
  • Utilize GIS platforms and engineering standards to produce accurate, high-quality design documentation
  • Conduct field measurements using laser range finders and analyze field photographs to inform design
  • Import and manipulate high-resolution CAD drawings within GIS systems with meticulous precision
  • Production of design prints and planning for construction activities
  • Uphold the highest standards of quality and accuracy in all deliverables

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles and practices
  • Understanding of electrical loading (Line side and Load side)
  • Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation)
  • Familiarity with NEC (National Electrical Code) and other relevant standards
  • Ability to interpret and create technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication skills for team collaboration and client interaction
  • Valid driver’s license (and/or obtainable within three (3) months)
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in Electrical Distribution Engineering (BGE experience essential, C&I, New Business and/or Turnkey experience a plus)
