Position Overview
We are seeking a CAD Drafter to support our environmental engineering projects by producing high-quality technical drawings and figures. This position plays a key role in transforming design concepts and field data into detailed, accurate plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D. We are seeking a candidate who is detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to grow.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed engineering design plans and figures using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Perform drafting tasks under the direction of engineers and senior designers
  • Create and modify grading plans, utility layouts, alignments, site plans, and profiles
  • Generate surface models and perform earthwork analyses
  • Interpret and apply survey data, field notes, and engineering markups
  • Assist in developing construction drawings that comply with local, state, and federal standards
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and support project estimating
  • Collaborate with GIS drafters and Plant 3D designers for data integration and consistency
  • Import and incorporate GPS field data and geospatial information into project drawings
  • Maintain organized CAD files, templates, and project data in accordance with company standards
  • Coordinate with internal teams to meet deadlines and ensure drawing accuracy

Required Qualifications
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, including tools such as surface creation, alignments, profiles, and grading
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, surveys, and specifications
  • Strong attention to detail, with effective problem-solving and organizational skills

Desired Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or certificate in Drafting, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field
