Job description

MasterMold is hiring a Supply Chain Analyst / Buyer to support manufacturing purchasing, engineering sourcing, supplier management, and new-product development. This position is ideal for a Manufacturing Buyer, Technical Buyer, Procurement Specialist, or Sourcing Analyst who can use CAD software, interpret engineering drawings, and turn technical requirements into successful sourcing solutions.

You’ll work closely with Engineering to identify suppliers, request and evaluate quotations, source engineered components, and help move projects from concept into production. Your decisions will directly influence cost, quality, delivery, and customer success.

What You’ll Do
  • Partner with Engineering on new products, tooling, equipment, and sourcing projects.
  • Use CAD software and review CAD files, engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and bills of materials (BOMs).
  • Identify and qualify suppliers capable of meeting technical, quality, cost, capacity, and delivery requirements.
  • Manage requests for quotation (RFQs) and perform supplier quote and cost analysis.
  • Purchase raw materials, fabricated components, molded parts, tooling, equipment, and production supplies.
  • Monitor purchase orders, inventory levels, supplier lead times, and delivery schedules.
  • Identify material shortages, delivery delays, price changes, and supply-chain risks before they affect production.
  • Resolve supplier issues involving quality, pricing, technical requirements, and delivery performance.
  • Develop alternative suppliers and support cost-reduction, inventory-control, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate supplier, purchasing, pricing, and inventory records in the ERP/MRP system.
What You’ll Bring
  • Experience in manufacturing purchasing, procurement, supply chain, sourcing, materials planning, or inventory management.
  • Ability to use CAD software and confidently review CAD files.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and bills of materials.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, tooling, supplier capabilities, and production requirements.
  • Experience managing RFQs and comparing supplier quotations.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, organization, and supplier-management skills.
  • Experience with ERP or MRP systems and Microsoft Excel.

Experience sourcing tooling, molds, machined parts, fabricated components, molded components, equipment, or engineered materials is strongly preferred.
