Job description

Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI), a leading power engineering consultant firm, is seeking a motivated individual to join our team in Cumberland, ME as a drafter. 

The successful candidates will be responsible for drafting and design support to multimer design teams involved with conceptual, preliminary, and final design of station projects 34.5 kV through 345 kV. Candidates will perform a variety of assignments, including design of substation physical drawings, substation electrical wiring, and schematic diagrams; development of materials list and other duties as determined by management staff.

Minimum Requirements: College degree in an acceptable curriculum, two-year technical certificate in computer-aided drafting/design, or a minimum of two years concentrated on the job experience in computer-sided drafting/design field. Proficient in AutoCAD and possess a strong computer aptitude in a Windows environment; MicroStation experience a plus. Proven effective verbal and written communication skills; proven excellent level of interpersonal skills; ability to work individually and on a team.  Must be detail oriented and possess a high level of organizational skills.  Proven ability to work with confidential information.  Proven ability to exercise independent judgment. Successful applicants are subject to ECI's auto insurance carrier requirements. Applicants must not require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B visa status) now or in the future.

Compensation Range: $23 - $34/hr.
