Job description

We are searching for a 3D drafter to assist with our current workload. In this role, you will be using Autocad, Autocad Inventor and Solidworks to create and modify our designs. You will be responsible for taking existing 2D drawings and recreating them in 3D as well as creating both for new product as they come available. Must be able to work in the office at the attached location.

Responsibilities

  • Create preliminary design sketches for conceptual analysis
  • Create engineering drawings and designs for production and manufacturing
  • Create design specifications, documentation, and material lists
  • Estimate material and production costs for designs
  • Prepare complete documentation packages for engineers
  • Verify drawings are correct to specifications, codes, and other regulations
  • Developing technical reports for engineers
  • Answering customers questions and taking phone calls.
  • Other responsibilities may be added as training and work progresses.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of 3D drawings.
  • Ability to operate computer-aided design (CAD) software and manual drafting workstations
  • Ability to multitask and manage several projects at a time
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Interpersonal skills to work within a team, taking direction from Project Managers and Engineers
