VSL Civil is currently recruiting for a CAD Technician to join our team. As a CAD Technician, you will be accountable for preparing complex drawings of structures and equipment systems.

This role can be seated at any of our current branch locations which includes the following.

  • Manassas, VA

  • Fort Worth, TX

The successful candidate will also be responsible for:

  • Draftingproject and mechanical systemdrawings derived from layouts and sketches

  • Establishing and following technical specificationsto prepare drawings and draft designs

  • Consulting with engineers regarding model accuracy and coordinate with shop teamfor material deliveries to job-sites

  • Determiningmaterial needs, performing necessary calculations, and tracking all material quantities

Candidates who meet the following criteria may be considered for thisposition:

  • 3-7 years experience with AutoCAD, preferably structural concrete drawings

  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand structural drawings

  • Strong communication skills, able to correspond well with Engineers and Clients

  • Able to work in a fast paced, ever changing environment

  • Candidates who are proficient in the use of Autodesk AutoCAD Mechanical, Inventor, SolidWorks, BIM/Revit, and MS Office Suite may be given preference

  • Travel nationally5-10%
