About the Roleโฏโฏโฏ
The CAD Designer/Drafter is responsible for taking inputs provided by sales and R&D engineers and using them to create models and drawings that meet engineering and customer requirements. Iterating previous CAD models and adapting current ones to match the requested changes/improvements, flagging space and interference concerns, and collaborating to developโฏmodels.โฏ
What Youโll Doโฏ
- Creates and modifies detailed models and drawings using CAD software from sketches, layouts, and/or notes provided by engineers.โฏ
- Collaborates directly with engineers to arrive at designs/solutions.
- Reviews drawings for correctness and conformance to standards.โฏ
- Participateโฏin ongoing process improvement and best practices development.โฏ
- Support prototyping effortsโฏthrough modeling.
- Document pain points and areas for improvement.โฏ
Additional Expectations
- Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
- Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
- Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.
- Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.
WhatโฏYou'll Bringโฏโฏ
- 2โ5 years of CAD modeling experience.
- Proficiency in engineering CAD software (Onshape experience is a plus).
- Understanding of basic engineering principles and manufacturability considerationsโฏ
- Experience reviewingโฏmodels andโฏdrawings and providing feedbackโฏ
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and web browsersโฏ
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-taskโฏ
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesโฏ
- Some programming knowledge (a plus)โฏ
- Ability to diagnose issuesโฏโฏ
- Some familiarity with 3D printing processes (preferred)โฏ
- Ability to work independently and prioritize duties with minimal supervisionโฏin order toโฏmeet deadlinesโฏ

- Pay range:โฏ$60,000 toโฏ$80,000 USD. This role is eligible for a discretionary bonus.โฏ
