About The Opportunity

We're seeking an Electrical CAD Designer familiar with industrial control panels to help design and develop control systems for Wonder's new automation products. You will help establish the Electrical Engineering department within the Automation team, and rapidly develop products for Wonders' next generation restaurants. We are looking for someone who is excited to hit the ground running and be a part of a growing team building new innovative products.

The Impact You Will Make

Design & Engineering

Design control panels for Wonder's new automation products, including APC/PLC systems, I/O architecture, safety circuits, power distribution, and pneumatic systems

Create comprehensive control documentation, including electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, pneumatic diagrams, I/O lists, and technical specifications for engineering and technician teams

Use a version control system to check in and out electrical drawings

Establish foundational building blocks in AutoCAD Electrical, such as templates, for a new and growing Electrical Engineering department

Coordinate with third-party panel fabrication teams to ensure design intent, technical accuracy, and compliance with specifications

Learn control panel and pneumatic schematics for the existing Infinite Kitchen product to assist with support and future fabrication of this product

Commissioning & Support

Provide on-site and remote troubleshooting support during installation, system startup, and ongoing operations

Lead commissioning activities to ensure successful system integration and performance validation

Wire, plumb, and program test rigs for our mechanical design team to validate prototypes

Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, software engineers, and technician teams

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field

4+ years of work experience as an Electrical Engineer in the Automation industry

Technical Skills

Familiar AutoCAD Electrical

Experience making cable drawings and other documentation

Professional Skills

Ability to own one engineering project from start to finish

Not afraid to ask questions and reach out for help as needed

Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site commissioning and support

This role requires a minimum of 4 days a week in the office, with additional days as needed based on project demands.

This role is based in our Boston office in Charlestown, MA

Base Salary Range: $124,000-$145,000 per year.
