Job description

CAD DESIGNER
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced CAD designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have: a Technical Certificate or Associate’s Degree in CAD, extensive knowledge of CAD software i.e., Autodesk Inventor/AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks, a strong technical drawing ability, good communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, a good understanding of mathematics, engineering and sheet metal fabrication.
 Responsibilities:
 
· Create detailed technical drawings, 2D, 3D models and prototypes.
 
· Accurately represent dimensions of materials and other elements using standard G,D&T.
 
· Accurately and effectively manage BOMs and Part Files.
 
· Work with engineering staff to transform product ideas from prototyping to production manufacturing.
 
· Analyze designs for potential improvements.
 
· Generate and manage all metal fabrication nesting files.
 
· Maintain a clean and well-organized work environment.
 
· Effectively work with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
