Visium Resources has been asked to identify qualified candidates several CAD Designer positions in Schenectady, NY. These positions are contract hire opportunities with an expected duration of one year or longer.


Summary


The CAD Designer is responsible for creating accurate and detailed models & drawings using CAD software based on provided instructions, sketches, and layouts. This role involves working closely with engineers and other team members to produce high quality models & drawings for various projects.


Job Description:


Prepare models & drawings using CAD software according to provided instructions. Perform model & drawing changes and revisions as directed by engineers or project managers. Receive close supervision, instruction, and review of work to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards. Follow modeling & drafting practices and procedures to produce clear and concise consumable models & drawings. Communicate effectively with team members to understand project requirements and timelines.




Qualified candidates would have the following:


- Associates Degree (Technology or Drafting or similar to) plus experience; or related vocational or technical high school program.
- Proficiency in a CAD software.
- Basic understanding of drafting practices and procedures. Example: Geometric, Dimensioning & Tolerancing.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
