Staff CAD / Drafting Specialist

Your technical expertise and creativity will help shape the future of medical technology in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where innovation thrives.

What You Will Do

  • Design and develop 3D CAD models and drawings for concept, prototype, and production, focusing on manufacturability, cost efficiency, and accuracy.
  • Create and refine components, subsystems, fixtures, and tooling in compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Lead or support engineering change control processes, including documentation creation and release.
  • Analyze R&D input independently and deliver actionable design outputs that support project success.
  • Contribute to product development by applying knowledge of current offerings and competitive landscape.
  • Mentor peers on CAD, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), and related systems, resolving technical issues and building team capability.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams during product ideation, testing, and prototype delivery, driving alignment and collaboration.
  • Apply and interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure accuracy and compliance with drafting standards.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma with 6 years of additional relevant CAD experience, or associate degree with 4 years, or bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in 3D CAD design and related software.
  • Expertise in CAD modeling, drafting standards, and GD&T.
  • Experience with PLM systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading or supporting cross-functional design projects.
  • Familiarity with intellectual property considerations in design.
  • Ability to contribute to process improvements and standard reviews.
