About the Role
The CAD Designer / Engineer provides support to the sales process by delivering detailed layout / shop drawings to Tate Sales Engineers and Project teams. The role collaborates with customers and internal teams to develop accurate, buildable designs. Success in this role results in precise documentation, efficient project execution, and reliable support for manufacturing and installation activities.
What You'll Do
Design Development & Shop Drawings
  • Develop CAD layouts and shop drawings for Technical and Facility water systems.
  • Create detailed drawings for sales and procurement teams.
  • Translate engineering concepts and customer specifications into accurate, buildable design documentation.
  • Review drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project and product standards.
  • Maintain drawing revisions ensuring version control and consistency across project documentation.

Project Coordination & Cross Functional Support
  • Partner with sales, engineering, and project teams to align designs with customer requirements.
  • Coordinate with project managers to support design deliverables aligned with project timelines.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs meet production and assembly requirements.
  • Support field teams by providing accurate drawings for installation and site execution activities.
  • Communicate design updates, changes, and issues to stakeholders across project teams.

Commercial Performance & Continuous Improvement
  • Support data center projects by aligning designs with cooling r
  • Assist in resolving design issues by updating drawings based on field conditions or ensure compliance with company standards, policies, and contractual obligations.
  • Maintain documentation standards supporting audit readiness and consistent design
  • Identify opportunities to improve design workflows, accuracy, and overall efficiency.
  • Support implementation of new tools or technologies enhancing design and drafting capabilities.

Additional Expectations
  • Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
  • Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
  • Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.
  • Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
  • 2 - 4 years of experience in CAD drafting, engineering, or related roles
  • Familiarity with 2D layouts, shop drawings, and technical documentation development.
