What Drives Success

Location: 100% Onsite

This CAD Designer will have the opportunity to produce pattern designs using Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools.

Duties include, but are not limited to: 

  • Prepare detail drawings of products from sketches using CAD equipment and associated peripheral equipment and software.
  • Follow instructions and procedures.
  • Perform non-complex detailing, redrawing, lettering and tracing of drawings on components, assemblies and engineering change orders.
  • Ensure that drawings incorporate all design features and maintain the product style.
  • Contribute design modifications to improve the product quality and function.
What We Are Looking For
  • A Vocational/Technical degree or certification in or related to CAD is required. An associate degree or higher in engineering, design, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Requires at least 2 years related experience.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Knowledge of CAD software techniques and tools.
  • Knowledge of design tools and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
  • Create detailed drawings per Heatcraft standards. Modify existing and design new tubing and sheet metal.
  • Follow instructions and procedures. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Complete engineering change requests.
  • Contribute design modifications to improve the quality and function of the product.
  • Create\modify Bills of Material
  • Customer focused.
  • Comfortable using a computer and proficient in Microsoft Office\Autocad\3D-CAD
  • Knowledge of design tools, and principals involved in generating product documentation for use in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Comfortable working with cross-functional teams with limited direction to meet customer needs.
  • Proven experience as a CAD Designer with proficiency in software like Solid Edge, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of CNC turret programming, tool selection, and machine setup.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
What We Offer

Compensation: This is a salaried non-exempt role. This means that employees are paid a salary and also receive overtime pay when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).  The starting salary range for this role and market is between $67,000-$88,000 annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Employees in this role are also eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company's applicable plan.

Benefits: Subject to applicable eligibility requirements, the following benefits are offered for this role: tuition reimbursement; medical, dental, and vision insurance; prescription drug coverage; 401(k) retirement plan; short-term disability insurance; 8 weeks paid birthing leave; 2 weeks paid bonding leave; life and long-term disability insurance.

Depending on date of hire, and subject to applicable eligibility requirements, new employees in this role also receive up to: 12 days paid time off, 2 paid well-being days, 1 paid volunteer day, 10-11 paid holidays, and 3 floating holidays per year.
