Description

Envision is seeking a motivated, career, and customer-oriented Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Research, develop, plan, and design mechanical and electromechanical products, systems, and equipment.
  • Analyze customer requirements, technical specifications, engineering data, and design proposals to determine project feasibility and design approach.
  • Design and develop mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, electromechanical, and automated systems utilizing sound engineering principles and industry best practices.
  • Create and maintain engineering drawings, models, and technical documentation using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools.
  • Develop testing methodologies, procedures, and validation plans to evaluate system performance and reliability.
  • Lead and coordinate fabrication, assembly, installation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with engineering requirements and customer specifications.
  • Support operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair efforts to maximize equipment performance and system availability.
  • Evaluate fielded systems and installations, identify deficiencies, and recommend design improvements or corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, software, manufacturing, quality, and program management personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff as needed.

Required Skills:

  • 8 plus years of professional Mechanical Engineering experience.
  • Experience designing, developing, testing, and integrating mechanical or electromechanical systems
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, manufacturing processes, and system integration.
  • Experience developing technical documentation, engineering drawings, and test procedures.

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Active Secret with the ability to obtain TS-SCI


The projected compensation range for this position is $145,000.00-$158,000.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories
