Job description

Bolton & Menk has an exciting opportunity for a Senior CAD Administrator to join our well-established CAD Services team to support our growing Transportation Workgroup. This position will be located preferably out of our Burnsville location; however, our other locations will be considered.

We are seeking a driven and dedicated new team member to join our CAD Services Workgroup to assist with the setup, training, and support for our design staff. Our Transportation Work Group uses Bentley MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer for the plan production process and are looking for candidates who have excellent knowledge with these applications. We also utilize ProjectWise, OpenBridge Designer, the OpenFlows water and wastewater applications, as well as a variety of traffic modeling applications.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Assist with setup, training, and ongoing support for our Transportation design staff.

  • Support plan production workflows using Bentley MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer from 3D modeling into design and production.
  • help project teams effectively use ProjectWise for collaboration and project delivery.
  • Assist with maintaining CAD standards, configurations, and workspace resources for Transportation projects.

  • Collaborate with CAD services and Transportation staff to improve design production efficiency and consistency.

  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining state DOT configurations and workspaces.
  • Assist with developing training documentation and provide staff training.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Associate degree in drafting or related degree from an accredited college
  • 7 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Thorough knowledge of Bentley MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer and ProjectWise.
  • General understanding of Bentley OpenFlows water and wastewater applications.
  • Basic understanding of AutoCAD is desired but not required.
  • Knowledge of design and field construction processes desired but not required.
  • Moderate to advanced understanding of the Microsoft Office 365.
  • Strong project and time management skills as well as effective communications skills are essential.

Bolton & Menk will currently not be providing visa sponsorship or Optional Practical Training Extensions for STEM Students. Individuals must be legally authorized to work in the US at the start of employment without a need for current or future visa sponsorship.

Salary Range: $83,000 - $108,000 depending on years of experience and credentials
