Job description

Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a Civil 3D CAD/BIM Designer to join our team in either Hollywood, Tampa, Orlando, or Boca Raton, Florida. This is a hybrid position (3 days a week in-office, 2 days remote).The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience using AutoCAD to design Civil and Mechanical piping for Water/Wastewater Treatment Plants and Pump Stations. As part of our team in Florida, you will work alongside staff Engineers and Senior CAD Designers to produce 3D and 2D drawings using Autodesk software.

  • Prepare site layouts, enlarged plans, sections, and details for various civil site and process mechanical systems
  • Willingness to be a team player and be proactive to ensure projects stay on time and budget

  • Ensure drawing compliance with company and client CAD standards
  • Ambition to learn, communicate effectively, and collaborate with other team members

Required Qualifications:

  • Completion of technical school CAD design certificate or Associate’s/Bachelor’s in Engineering Design, Drafting, or related field
  • Experience with Civil 3D
  • Any experience with AutoCAD 2D
  • Basic understanding of Civil Site piping and associated materials
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to coordinate with interdisciplinary groups
  • Effective communication skills with attention to technical details
