CAD Designer

Summary:

The CAD Designer candidate will be part of a growing Architectural & Engineering team within the SAI Group, supporting a diverse portfolio of real estate projects such as Green Energy, Telecommunications, Commercial, and High-End Residential Divisions. As an CAD designer, you will be vital in designing, analyzing, and constructing various structures to ensure their safety, stability, and durability for diverse projects.

The ideal candidate should possess a solid technical background, excellent analytical skills, and an extensive working knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD to produce technical drawings. The position will require a candidate that can function effectively in a dynamic work environment with the following duties:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create 2D and 3D technical drawings and plans using CAD.
  • Conduct site visits as necessary to gather information and contribute to design decisions.
  • Ensure the technical details and plans' accuracy, precision, efficiency, and quality.
  • Collaborate with engineers and architects to interpret and translate their designs into technical drawings, plans, and manuals.
  • Maintained project files and documentation within SAI and client's repositories.
  • Review and analyze data to ensure all specifications and requirements are met.
  • Manage multi-discipline project execution while maintaining timelines.
  • Contribute to business development endeavors by preparing proposals, statements of qualifications, presentations to clients, and collaborating with management.
  • Ensure and maintain a high level of satisfaction with our clients related to compliance services with demonstrated client development and management success.
  • Maintaining a library of standard templates and detail blocks.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • An Associate or Bachelor's degree in design, engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD with minimum 2 Years of hands on experience.. Experience with AutoCAD electrical is a plus.
  • Practical written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and present technical information to stakeholders.
  • Excellent team-building, interpersonal, presentation, and written communication skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability and willingness to travel for short-term meetings.
  • Ability to create process improvement policies, tools, and client-specific CAD guides for drafting and engineering teams.
  • Skilled in file sharing, document management, and collaboration tools such as Sharepoint, dropbox, Autodesk, Vault, Workfront, ProjectWise, etc.
