Job description

Join AZAD Technology Partners as a CAD Technician and provide quality design, layout, and production of engineering, civil, mechanical, electrical, and fiber optic drawings within the Communications and Control Planning organization. This position will perform necessary research using standard, plan and profile, hardware, civil, and survey drawings, to control product reliability and accuracy for engineering, technical, and commercial applications. This position may assist other Transmission Planning organizations, such as Transmission Planning and Customer Service Engineering, with CAD tasks as needed.
This is a 2 year plus consultant position with high probability of long term and ongoing continued employment. This position is hybrid based in Vancouver, WA with onsite 1 - 2 days per week. The hourly pay rate for this position (which includes a health and welfare fringe benefit of $5.09) is between $29.09 and $46.09 depending on related qualifications and experience, as well as composition of selected compensation package.
The ideal candidate must possess the minimum qualifications:
High school diploma or GED is required
Associate's degree or higher in a technical CAD training program is preferred
4 years of civil, structural, or electrical CAD drafting experience is required.
Knowledge and certified training or experience in MicroStation or AutoCAD is required.
Working knowledge of MS Office to include Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word is required.
Valid U.S. Driver's License or RealID is required.
Preferred Skills:
Demonstrated ability to work independently and to complete the assigned tasks with accuracy in a timely manner.
Demonstrated ability to perform mathematical computations related to algebra and trigonometry, work on many concurrent activities, and perform engineering design using the CAD system in a multi-disciplined production environment.
Carry out assigned tasks with a professional demeanor reflected in excellent written and oral communication skills, listening skills, patience, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving abilities.
Meet timelines, milestones, and deliverables and provide weekly status updates if requested.
