Foth is currently seeking a team-focused, innovative, and results-oriented Lead Packaging Designer who is looking for new learning experiences, opportunities for career growth, and a desire to contribute to our clients' success. In this role, you will provide technical leadership and support the design and integration of packaging systems for industrial clients, primarily within the food and beverage industry. This position offers the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the United States, with a preference for candidates who can work from our Green Bay, WI office.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Support engineers in the design and integration of packaging systems for industrial applications, primarily within the food and beverage industry
  • Conduct field information gathering activities
  • Develop and update 2D and 3D CAD layouts for packaging systems and equipment integration
  • Design packaging system components in accordance with equipment specifications and project requirements
  • Create and maintain engineering drawing packages and associated documentation
  • Coordinate drawing management activities and collaborate directly with clients
  • Work collaboratively with designers and engineers across multiple disciplines
  • Coordinate, delegate, and oversee the design efforts of team members and contract resources as needed
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance within the packaging systems discipline
  • Support equipment installations, startup activities, and field troubleshooting efforts
  • Assist engineers with equipment specifications, installation scopes of work, and technical decision-making
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining effective communication, organization, and attention to detail
  • Travel to client sites approximately 10-20% annually
 
Required Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in Mechanical Design or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 7 years of CAD design experience
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with conveyor layout design
  • Proficiency using 2D and 3D CAD software for equipment integration and system design
  • Demonstrated experience supporting the design, fabrication, or integration of industrial equipment and systems
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience designing packaging systems within the food and beverage industry
  • Experience using Autodesk ReCap, Navisworks, or similar software for 3D data registration and visualization
  • 10+ years of CAD design experience
  • Previous experience supporting capital projects from design through startup and commissioning

The base compensation listed for this job posting reflects a general range for the posted position.  Base compensation will vary based on factors such as: years of experience, location, level of responsibility and licenses/certifications. In addition to base compensation, Foth members may be eligible to receive bonuses through our Earned Performance Incentive program.
