PROLIM Global Corporation (www.prolim.com) is currently seeking an CAD CAM Engineer 3 for our client Northrop Grumman at location Chandler, Arizona, United States (Onsite or Telecommute).

Description Of Services
  • The CAD CAM Engineer will design and layout printed wiring boards (PWBs) for military and aerospace avionics and test applications, working in a fast-paced team environment alongside design and program engineers.
  • Duties include communicating project status to management, collaborating with circuit design and mechanical engineers to ensure proper form, fit, and function, and participating in peer reviews and design milestone reviews.
  • This role requires extensive experience with the Cadence Allegro design tool suite, high-density multilayer boards, and routing of high-speed digital, analog, and controlled-impedance circuits.
  • The ideal candidate will prepare artwork for fabrication, manage footprint/symbol libraries, and apply knowledge of IPC standards while supporting the avionics design lifecycle.

Skills/Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of recent PWB design layout experience using Cadence Allegro -- (Required)
  • AA/AS degree or 2-year post-high school training with 5+ years of relevant experience -- (Required)
  • Working knowledge of high-density complex, multilayer boards (6-16 layers) -- (Required)
  • Experience in layout/routing of digital, analog, and power circuits -- (Required)
  • Experience with high-speed digital and controlled-impedance circuits (SERDES, DDR3/DDR4) -- (Required)
  • Experience with rigid-flex assemblies -- (Required)
  • Ability to prepare artwork (ODB++, Gerbers) for fabrication -- (Required)
  • Extensive experience with footprint/symbol creation and library management -- (Required)
  • Understanding of IPC-2221 and IPC-7351 specifications -- (Required)
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance -- (Required)
  • Working understanding of Printed Wiring Assembly manufacturing process -- (Preferred)
  • Experience with CAM350 and/or Valor DFM software tools -- (Preferred)
  • Experience with OrCAD Layout and Mentor PADS or Xpedition tool suites -- (Preferred)
