Job Description:
Our client in Wilmington, DE is seeking a dedicated BOM Specialist to contribute to their fast-paced and innovative environment.
* Develop and maintain accurate bills of materials (BOM) for all products and assemblies.
* Coordinate with engineering, production, and procurement teams to ensure BOM accuracy and completeness
* Update BOMs based on engineering changes, product revisions, and feedback from production.
* Analyze BOMs to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve production efficiency.
* Create and manage work orders for manufacturing and assembly processes.
* Ensure work orders are completed accurately and on schedule.
* Collaborate with inventory management to ensure materials availability aligns with production schedules.
* Maintain documentation related to BOMs and work orders in the company"s ERP system.
* Conduct regular audits of BOMs and work orders to ensure compliance with company standards.
* Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to BOM discrepancies and work order execution.
* Provide training and support to team members on BOM and work order processes.
* Generate reports on BOM accuracy, work order completion, and material usage for management review.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance BOM and work order processes.
Requirements:
* - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
* - Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within manufacturing or engineering environments.
* CAD software knowledge/experience - ability to read/interpret engineered CAD drawings of product to be able to convert to Mfg BOM for on floor production
* - Proficiency in ERP systems, such as SAP, SAGE, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
* - Strong understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM) structures and lifecycle management.
* - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* - Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
* - Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
* - Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* - Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
* - Experience with change management processes.
* - Familiarity with inventory management and production planning.
