Job description

CAD professional with 2+ years of accomplishment in designing Civil projects. This individual assists Valdes A&E's Civil Engineers with drawing preparation and general civil engineering design.ย ย 
Responsibilities
  • Perform technical responsibilities required of a CADD professional Civil Design experience
  • Provide generally accepted practices with drawing setup, project layout, and design with minimal guidance by civil engineers
  • Engage in design production, as directed by Engineers, and help produce complete, quality, and timely deliverable
  • Verify field conditions and assist the Engineers in resolving problems during field construction
  • Be eager and open to gaining further Civil Engineering experience from department colleagues
  • Demonstrate expertise in using AutoCAD Civil3D and/or Microstation CAD software
Qualifications
  • High School diploma required, associate's degree or higher preferred
  • 2+ years of experience working in design using AutoCAD Civil3D and/or MicroStation CAD software
  • Demonstrate technical competencies required of a Civil Designer
  • General knowledge of setting up and organizing Site Civil Engineering plans
  • Experience with IDOT standards and drawing format a plus
  • Revit, Navisworks and other design software experience a plus
  • Personable and able to work easily with others
  • Ability to set and track goalsย 
  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple project priorities simultaneously
  • Able to commit to and meet project deadlines
  • Takes ownership of work and follows through to completion
  • Must possess exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future
$60,000 - $100,000 a year
