Job description

A civil engineering company located in Allentown, PA is seeking a CAD Manager to join their team.  This person will play a key role in overseeing the production and organization of technical drawing production and standards for various civil engineering, land development, and architecture projects. This leadership position requires a candidate with a deep understanding of technical engineering documentation, impeccable organizational skills, and a proven track record of managing and optimizing document workflows. The team routinely produces complex permit submission sets of 200+ pages which include both internal design documents and reports as well as design co-consultants. Responsibilities: Provide strategic leadership to the Technical Documents team, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment; Supervise, mentor, and develop team members, ensuring the growth and success of the department; Develop and implement standardized processes for creating, reviewing, and revising technical drawings in compliance with industry regulations and best practices. Qualifications: Proven experience in a leadership role overseeing technical document management in a civil engineering, land planning, or architectural setting; In-depth knowledge of industry-standard technical drawing practices, software, and tools including Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and related Autodesk products; Strong understanding of line weights and printing requirements for large format documentation.
