Job description

AgriSteel a division of Bayland Buildings, Inc. is actively seeking a Structural Engineer.


Candidate will be responsible for Metal Building package engineering and design for fabrication of Commercial and Agricultural projects. Will also work closely with sales aiding in estimating projects. Specific building types include custom design and MBS (Metal Building Software), secondary structure and sheeting. Company will train successful candidate in each building-specific software system including but not limited to Metal Building Software (MBS).


Successful candidate will be well versed in verbal and written communications and fluent with computers, including specific experience with MS office and BlueBeam at a minimum. Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit beneficial but no required. Candidate should have great attention to detail and be able to manage workloads that require deadlines. Prior knowledge of MBS is a plus but not required.


Candidates should present a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Structural Engineering. Additionally, experience in a related field as a CAD systems operator, Engineering Specialist, Civil Engineering Technician, Engineer CAD tech or Estimator/Project Manager will be beneficial to the position.


Engineer will report to our VP AgriSteel and work directly with sales, engineering, and fulfillment teams regularly. Duties will include Engineering, Design and generation of Fabrication and Erection drawings. Other roles such as Project Management and Estimating may also be asked of candidate.
