CAD Designer / Drafter - Pump Manufacturing

Independent Contractor needed - Full time

Full time on-site, Telford, PA


Position Summary

The CAD Designer/Drafter is responsible for preparing detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for pumps, pump components, and related equipment. This role works closely with Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure designs are accurate, manufacturable, and meet customer and company requirements.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Create and revise detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software.
  • Prepare manufacturing, assembly, and installation drawings.
  • Update drawings and documentation based on engineering changes.
  • Verify dimensions, tolerances, materials, and specifications.
  • Support engineering projects by creating layouts, part drawings, and assembly drawings.
  • Work with production personnel to resolve drawing-related issues.
  • Maintain drawing revision control and engineering documentation.
  • Ensure designs comply with company standards and customer requirements.
  • Assist with product improvements and cost-reduction initiatives.


Qualifications


Education

  • Associate Degree or Technical Certificate in Drafting, CAD Technology, Mechanical Design, or related field preferred.


Experience

  • 2+ years of CAD drafting/design experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with pumps, rotating equipment, or industrial machinery preferred.


Technical Skills

  • Proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar CAD software.
  • Ability to create detailed fabrication and machining drawings.
