Job description

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CAD Drafter and Estimator to join our growing engineering organization. This role is designed as the cornerstone of a future multi-person CAD and estimating team that will support project needs across multiple offices. The position begins with hands-on drafting and estimating responsibilities in the low-voltage security systems field and will evolve into a leadership role as the team scales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and revise AutoCAD drawings including floor plans, device layouts, riser diagrams, and as-built documentation
  • Develop cost estimates and project takeoffs using Excel and estimating tools
  • Collaborate closely with sales, engineering, and project management teams to ensure project alignment
  • Maintain accurate drawing revisions and documentation throughout project lifecycles
  • Contribute to the development and standardization of CAD and estimating workflows as the organization grows

Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills; proficiency in Word and Outlook
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications
