Job description

Orlando firm seeks architectural drafter to participate in the complete design process on a variety of new commercial projects. Candidate must be an AutoCAD expert, have a strong knowledge of the commercial building environment and have no less than 5 years’ experience. Applicant must be well versed in Florida Building Code, NFPA Life Safety, ADA codes and be highly experienced in AutoCAD. 

Job Responsibilities:

·         Prepare drawings from sketches, notes, details and/or verbal instructions.

·         Prepare sets of plans including floor plans, elevations, sections, detail schedules, etc.

·         Analyze information available to determine and plan the best approach to develop and complete drawings.

·         May act in a project coordinator capacity at times.

·         May do on-site measurements and generate the plan on AutoCad.

Job Requirements/Skills:

·         5 or more years’ experience as architectural Cad drafter.

·         Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.

·         Proficiency in AutoCAD.

·         Knowledge of construction methodology: MEP, millwork/casework.

·         Knowledge of building regulations and safety codes.

·         Be able to produce a complete set of construction documents in AutoCAD.

·         High level of attention to detail and accuracy is essential to success.
