Job description

The position is responsible for assisting the sales department with time studies and machining new customer parts to aid in new machine sales. The position requires strong mechanical aptitude and in depth knowledge of part prints and advanced skills in metal cutting principles. This position requires communicating directly with customers and up to 25% travel annually for training the customer to run their new machine.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supporting the final assembly areas and the realization of new projects and equipment
  • Travel to customer sites for training on the operations of machines and their particular CAM system
  • Create time studies and machining programs using CAM systems
  • Customer troubleshooting

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology OR 5 years’ experience working with CNC metal cutting machines including CAM programming
  • Understanding of mechanical drawings, electrical and fluid schematics, and CNC machine troubleshooting
  • CAM programming experience
  • CAD software 3D and 2D

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Willing to work overtime as needed
  • Willing to travel domestic and international
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a passport
