The Automation Design Engineer is responsible for designing automation and power systems in line with customer specifications and marine industry standards. Essential Job Functions:
- Design and implement moderately complex systems under guidance (e.g., power management, propulsion, alarm/monitoring, steering systems) following all marine industry standards.
- Conduct PLC and HMI programming, system integration, and software testing.
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure equipment design meets specifications.
- Collaborate closely with procurement and production teams to ensure system quality and accuracy.
- Develop, review, and modify project drawings and documentation.
- Provide technical support to service teams and assist in issue resolution.
- Support project documentation (e.g., drawings, manuals, schematics).
