CNC Programmer
Department: CNC Programmer

Location: Bryan, TX
Compensation: $25.00 - $33.00 / hour
Description
Be apart of an Industry leader in the design and manufacturing of engineered polymer and elastomer solution. Utilizing the most advanced material compounds, manufacturing processes, and engineering expertise to develop shapes, sealing systems, and components to satisfy even the most complex applications. Focusing on several service markets, such as the Space Industry, Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Chemical Processing, Power Generation, and Semiconductor.
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled CNC Programmer Machinist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for programing and operating CNC machines, improving processes, inspecting parts, and contributing to a lean and collaborative manufacturing environment. If you are passionate about machining, eager to grow, and thrive on solving problems in a team-driven culture, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
  • CNC Programming & Operation: Create and modify programs using Fusion 360 CAM/CAD. Perform setups, tool changes, and production runs on CNC lathes and mills.
  • Print-to-Part Execution: Interpret GC&T from engineering drawings and transform raw materials into precision parts.
  • Tooling & Set-Up: Select proper toolings, speeds, feeds, and fixturing. Perform setups and alignments to ensure safe, repeatable operations.
  • Inspection & Quality: Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other measuring instruments. Record inspection data and work closely with quality personnel to resolve tolerance issues.
  • Process Improvement: Actively engage in lean manufacturing and daily 3S. Purpose and implement improvements to tooling, programming, workflow, and setup efficiency.
  • Collaboration: Communicate with engineering, quality, and other team members to support continuous production and improve part manufacturability.
  • Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Assist and train less experienced team members and contribute to skill development across the shop.
  • Safety & Compliance: Follow all company safety policies, use appropriate PPE, and maintain a clean and hazard-free workspace.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Skillbridge Required Skills and Competencies:
  • High Energy, proactive attitude, and excellent communication.
  • Able to follow detailed instructions and document work accurately
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with a desire to improve the process
  • Stand for extended periods (up to 8+ hours per day)
  • Lift and move materials up to 50lbs regularly
  • Manual dexterity to operate machinery, tools, and precision instruments.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with noise, dust, and lubricants.

Direct Hire Required Skills and Competencies:
  • 3+ years of hands-on CNC machining and programming experience
  • Proficiency with Fusion 360 CAM/CAD
  • Strong knowledge of FANUC G-code (turning operations)
  • Familiarity with HAAS (Coldfire & NGC), FANUC, and OSP controls
  • Strong understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T
  • Able to perform shop math, including trigonometry and algebra
  • Capable of designing basic fixtures and optimizing setup for cycle time.
  • Associates Degree or technical certificate in machining or manufacturing
  • Experience implementing or working within lean manufacturing and 5S/3S environments
  • Familiarity with inspection documentation, quality control standards, and ISO/AS processes
