Job Responsibilities โ€“ What to Expect

  • Manage and maintain fiber optic network asset records across enterprise asset management platforms and GIS environments, ensuring strand-level accuracy and data integrity across all active network records
  • Create, update, and translate field redline as-built construction plans into accurate CAD and GIS representations serving as the permanent record of the fiber network
  • Develop and produce construction-ready CAD drawings, including fiber optic route plans, plan-and profile drawings, splicing schematics, and termination assignments in support of Engineering and Project teams
  • Provide direct CAD and GIS production support to Engineers during active fiber design, permitting, and construction projects
  • Service as the subject matter expert on fiber asset location, strand availability, and network topology in support of field crews, engineers, project managers, and customers
  • Analyze and process OTDR fiber test results
  • Support emergency fiber break/fix response by rapidly delivering accurate asset data and fault location intelligence to field crews and NOC personnel to minimize network restoration time
  • Gather, process, and integrate PGS field data for all fiber network assets
