Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Design Engineer to lead the detailed design and realization of innovative products from concept handoff through production release. This role serves as the technical bridge between product development and manufacturing, ensuring designs are fully defined, manufacturable, and production ready. The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex engineering challenges, collaborating across multiple functions, and improving products through continuous innovation and engineering excellence.

Responsibilities:
• Lead detailed mechanical product design using SolidWorks, including assemblies, drawings, configurations, design tables, and production documentation
• Develop complete product definitions including BOMs, engineering drawings, manufacturing documentation, and product release packages
• Execute engineering changes, product updates, customer driven configurations, and product lifecycle improvements while maintaining design integrity
• Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Product Management to support production readiness, NPI, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain accurate engineering data across CAD, ERP, PDM, PIM, and related business systems while supporting manufacturability, cost reduction, and product performance

Qualifications and Requirements:
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent industry experience
• Three or more years of mechanical product design, sustaining engineering, engineering change management, or product realization experience within a manufacturing environment
• Strong proficiency with SolidWorks, including assemblies, drawings, configurations, and design tables. CSWP certification is highly desirable
• Experience with DFx, VAVE, Lean Manufacturing, engineering change processes, BOM management, and production ready product releases
• Working knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, injection molding, casting, assembly, and ERP systems such as JD Edwards
