Job description

We’re searching for a detail-oriented, imaginative CAD designer to serve as the primary drafter for our growing construction company! Your job responsibilities will include meeting with the client to understand their ideal finished product and generating 2D and 3D designs using AutoCAD to bring those dreams to life. You’ll also revise designs based on client feedback and clearly communicate updates about the team’s design process. $90,000 - $110,000 yearly


Responsibilities:
  • Look through large databases of material properties to choose the ideal material for modeling
  • Generate 2D and/or 3D designs using computer software, ensuring all project specifications are met
  • Notify superintendents and project managers of the design’s progress and when the designs are complete
  • Receive feedback from construction team members and clients and revise designs accordingly
  • Collaborate with construction team members to establish budgets and timelines for the designs

Qualifications:
  • Highly attuned to detail and possess excellent teamwork, organizational, and communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge of architectural design software, such as AutoCAD, AutoDesk BIM, Solidworks, 3DS Max, Chief Architect Premier: Construction Drawings, SketchUp, and Lumion
  • Stay informed about architectural design software trends and knowledgeable about the industry as a whole
  • 2-year degree or equivalent experience in architecture, design, construction engineering, or related field is desired
  • Must have 2+ years of experience in architectural design
