An exciting opportunity exists at Raytheon for an Engineering Manager to lead our Layout and Foundry Services team within the RF Microelectronics / Module Design & Foundry Services Department. The Senior Section Lead - Layout, CAD, Foundry Services in this role would be responsible for leading a group of highly skilled layout and CAD engineers tasked with supporting Raytheon's RFIC/MMIC designers and responsible for generating fully compliant and verified layouts and photomasks that drive production tools in our own III-V Semiconductor foundry. This role is pivotal in enabling an efficient design flow and key to ensuring successful RFIC/MMIC products that unleash the full potential of the microelectronic devices in support of Raytheon Technologies business pursuits.
The ideal candidate will possess experience in RFIC/MMIC layout, verification, and automation using the Cadence layout suite, as well as in the preparation of photomasks with process overhead structures and data generation for III-V semiconductor foundry equipment. Good knowledge of III-V semiconductor processing steps, RF device/circuit characterization, and automated inspection are also expected.

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Proficiency in using CAD software tools (Cadence suite)
  • Experience with integrated circuit layout and physical verification
  • Experience in the development and automation of layout tasks, systems, and associated software
  • Familiarity with semiconductor processing and manufacturing concepts, e.g. technologies like GaAs, GaN, SOI
  • Project scheduling and management experience
  • Previous experience with a defense contractor and/or government agency.
  • Current DoD Secret level security clearance
