Job description

850 State Hwy 55,

Brooten, Minnesota

Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.

Precision Manufacturing is looking for a hands-on product development and build technician to help complete and document our Brown Bear 400 tractor.

This is a full-time, day-shift position paying $20–$30 per hour based on experience and ability. We offer health insurance, paid vacation, free online doctor visits, on-the-job training, and opportunities to advance within the company.

This position combines shop work, product documentation, vendor communication, and mechanical problem-solving. It is not a traditional desk-only engineering position, and an engineering degree is not required.

The person hired will work directly with our manufacturing team while the tractor is being built. Responsibilities will include contacting vendors for technical information and 3D models, documenting electrical wiring and component connections, reviewing models and drawings, maintaining parts and build information, and recording changes made during assembly.

Our 3D models and drawings are created and managed using Autodesk Inventor. Experience working with CAD models or technical drawings would be helpful, but advanced CAD design experience is not required.

This position will also involve hands-on assembly of the tractor. Work may include installing and routing wiring, hydraulic components, hoses, mechanical parts, controls, and other tractor systems. The person will help identify missing information or components, work through problems as they are found, and document the final solution for future production and service.

Applicants should have good mechanical ability, basic computer skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly with vendors and coworkers. Experience with equipment assembly, electrical wiring, hydraulics, technical documentation, drafting, parts, service, or product support would be valuable. We will train the right mechanically experienced candidate on our equipment and Autodesk system.

This is a good position for someone who enjoys understanding how equipment works, solving problems, working with both their hands and a computer, and helping turn a developing product into a documented production machine.

Apply today to learn more or schedule an interview.

Precision Manufacturing is the hiring employer for this position. We work as part of the Midwest Equipment/Packer Brothers group, building and supporting equipment lines that include Arrow Hammer and Brown Bear.

*Please Note: This job posting may be listed under Wald due to our shared ownership and recruiting system.
