Lead ServiceNow Software Engineer supporting Publix Technology’s ITSM business area. This role requires a hands‑on technical leader who can independently drive ServiceNow implementations, integrations, CMDB, ITSM, and ITOM solutions from business requirements through design, architecture, development, code review, deployment, and production support while partnering with architects, analysts, product owners, QA, security teams, and business stakeholders.

Location: Hybrid (Lakeland, FL)
Work Model: Hybrid role based in Lakeland, FL.

Your impact:

  • Independently lead the analysis, design, architecture, development, implementation, and support of complex ServiceNow implementations across ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, integrations, and enterprise workflows.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions that improve platform capabilities, workflow automation, and user experience.
  • Provide hands‑on technical leadership across solution architecture, design decisions, development execution, code reviews, platform governance, and engineering best practices.
  • Mentor junior and intermediate developers through requirements analysis, solution design, development, troubleshooting, code quality, and delivery execution across the SDLC.
  • Act as a ServiceNow subject‑matter expert for platform support, upgrades, operational stability, root‑cause analysis, and after‑hours support for critical services.
  • Influence business and technology stakeholders through clear technical recommendations, executive‑level communication, and collaborative decision‑making.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of software engineering or enterprise application delivery experience.
  • 7+ years designing, integrating, and implementing scalable ServiceNow solutions across ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, Problem, Change, Request, APIs, Integration Hub, and Workflow Data Fabric.
  • 7+ years of ServiceNow platform architecture, data model, scripting, workflows, Flow Designer, Service Portal, UI Builder, and REST/SOAP integrations experience.
  • 5+ years leading ServiceNow teams as a hands‑on lead developer, including architecture support, implementation ownership, delivery execution, production support, mentoring, and code reviews.
  • Ability to effectively engage with cross‑functional business teams, product owners, analysts, architects, QA, security, infrastructure, support teams, and business stakeholders in large enterprise environments to independently lead projects.
  • Strong Agile/Scrum, SDLC, release management, troubleshooting, documentation, stakeholder management, executive communication, and technical influence skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 9+ years of software engineering experience in large enterprise environments, including strong ServiceNow platform experience and 5+ years in a Lead or Principal Developer role.
  • 5+ years of hands‑on development experience with .NET, .NET Core, ASP.NET, C#, and SQL.
  • ITIL certification and ServiceNow certifications such as CSA, CAD, or CIS in ITSM, ITOM, CSM, or related areas.
  • Experience leading technical design and development across multiple ServiceNow product areas, teams, or enterprise platforms.
  • Experience designing API‑driven, event‑based, or integration‑heavy solutions using asynchronous processing, enterprise messaging, Kafka, cloud platforms, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with ATF, test‑driven development, CI/CD pipelines, source control, deployment automation, and modern DevOps practices.
  • Experience extending or integrating SaaS, commercial, low‑code, or no‑code platforms, including Power Platform, Power Apps, Power Automate, or Dataverse.
  • Experience with enterprise service workflows, case management, contact center capabilities, AI‑assisted automation, NLP, classification, routing, summarization, recommendations, ServiceNow upgrades, and release management.
