Facilities CAD Specialist, Mid

The Opportunity:

Are you passionate about using your client engagement skills to impact projects that will increase facility utilization for the United States Air Force (USAF)? As a facility professional, you understand that relationship-building and keen attention to detail is crucial when overseeing the lifecycle of a project. We need someone like you who is eager to grow your communication skills and take part in complex projects that'll increase facility utilization and help the Air Force reach its facility space management goals.

As a Facilities CAD Specialist on our team, you'll work on challenging projects generating facility planning solutions from beginning to end while collaborating with senior leadership. Using computer facilities management software and your problem-solving skills, you'll help develop creative solutions for mission-critical projects for the USAF.

In this role, you'll closely impactthe accuracy and quality of facility databy surveying and updating facility drawings, which will improve inventory data accuracy.With mentoring, exposure to challenging projects, and opportunities to learn new tools and skills, we focus on growing as a team to make the best solutions for our customers.

Work with us as we facilitate projects that impact USAF facility data for the better.

What You'll Work On:

  • Analyze, formulate, and recommend facility standards, design, and space criteria and usage through space utilization studies and forecasts for clients in the USAF civil engineering community.

  • Implement analyses and solution development for facility planning and management of facility planning solutions.

  • Perform complex activities for the control and management of cost, schedule, risk, and resource optimization.

  • Prepare or review facilities estimates and site proposals for client review as to cost and feasibility.

  • Work closely with clients in the USAF civil engineering communityto develop plans and programs responsive to present and anticipate portfolio and facility or individual space requirements.

  • Recommend planning, design, and construction standards or milestones.

You Have:

  • Experience with AutoCAD and Revit for building drawings and facilities

  • Ability to learn new processes or procedures and apply them to existing CAD contract requirements

  • Ability to conduct facility surveys

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office software applications, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint, and Access

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience with facilities CAD, or 6+ years of experience with facilities CAD in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with DoD clients, including Air Force Manual (AFMAN) 32-1084, Facility Requirements, Air Force Instruction (AFI) 32-7062, and Comprehensive Planning

  • Knowledge of DoD installations, missions, organizations, and facility types, including Category Codes

  • Knowledge of AFI 32-1015, Integrated Installation Planning, DAFI 32-9005, and Real Property Accountability and Reporting

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in Planning, Engineering, or Geography

  • Autodesk Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
