Description

Job purpose

To provide professional with CAD Design for 8-koi; a diverse Florida based service and consulting company that has been providing outstanding results for our clients.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Prepare dimensional drawings, installation drawings and more complex drawings.
  • Revise and update existing drawings reflecting design changes, in collaboration with Engineers to ensure consistent documentation of the project.
  • Review blueprints, plans, specifications and other customer documentation if service is requested by the application engineer or project manager.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of third-party items and services data base. Review and modify information with supervision by the Director of Engineering. Make data available to application engineers and project managers.
  • Establish filing guidelines for drawings to maintain up-to-date drawings
  • Able to generate layout drawings from sketches and specifications.
  • Any additional related tasks issued by superiors.
  • Helps in the development of internal CAD standards.
  • Provides initial review of drawings for formatting and standards compliance

Applicants shall apply his or her own knowledge of engineering and various office technologies in many various assignments. Applicant shall be able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously in an effective and structured manner. Typical characteristics a candidate must have for this position include:

  • Develops broad knowledge and skills in a specific practice area.
  • Evaluates, selects, and applies standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform a task or sequence of tasks for conventional projects with few complex features.
  • Collaboratively uses judgment to determine adaptations in methods for nonroutine aspects of assignments.
  • Works on a several projects simultaneously.
  • Possesses effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Assists with client, customer, or official contacts and communication pertaining to specific assignments or meetings.
  • Sensitivity to confidential matters is required.

Manages and schedules all designer and CAD activities

Applicant is also responsible for maintaining 8-koi / CDE Company Standards and Practices.

Expected to be true "team players" realizing that their contributions affect the outcome of projects; this also includes profitability.

Qualifications

  • Must be eligible to work in the US.
  • 10+ of years general CAD.
  • HS Diploma or Technical Trade certification of AS/AA Degree
  • Participate in ongoing education
  • Possess a valid Florida Driver's License and a reliable mode of transportation.
  • Pass an entry drug screen and remain drug free throughout employment.
  • Familiar with the MS office suite and ability to create reports, spreadsheets, and presentations using these tools.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and team player mentality.
  • Exceptional multitasking abilities and flexibility.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex documents such as regulations and contract requirements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and spoken.
  • Skilled use of Adobe Acrobat.
  • Moderate typing speed.
  • Internet usage.
  • Task planning / Calendar management.
  • Active member of professional practice organization.
