Job description

Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a Process-Mechanical Revit Designer with knowledge and experience designing Process Mechanical piping in Revit to work alongside staff Engineers and Senior CAD/BIM Designers. This position will include the design and production of contract documents for various Water, Wastewater and Pump Station facilities projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creation of Revit models, Revit families, and CAD base files for use in creating contract documents.
  • Ability to design piping layouts in Revit to produce enlarged plans, sections, and details for various process mechanical systems
  • Coordinate with other disciplines (Site Civil, Structural, Architectural, HVAC, Electrical, and I&C) to help resolve design conflicts and challenges.
  • Executing redlines from Engineers and senior CAD/BIM Designers
  • Ensure drawing compliance with company and client CAD standards
  • Ambition to learn, communicate effectively, and collaborate with other designers

Required Qualifications:

  • Completion of a technical school with CAD design certificate or A.S. degree with emphasis on Revit MEP preferred
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience using Revit MEP and AutoCAD required.
  • Experience leading and coordinating drawing production for small to medium sized projects
  • Some design experience with water and/or wastewater projects desired
  • Basic understanding of process mechanical piping, chemical piping, and associated pipe materials and fittings for Water, Wastewater and Pump Station facilities
