We are builders, problem-solvers, and collaborators who take pride in turning ideas into real-world solutions.

Position Overview:

We are hiring a Planner / Detailer to bridge design, engineering, and manufacturing. This is a hands-on role responsible for CAD modeling, production detailing, cost estimating, and production planning.

You will take projects from concept through manufacturing by creating 3D models, shop drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and production routings, while collaborating closely with design, estimating, production, and installation teams.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both technical design (CAD/detailing) and manufacturing planning (BOMs, costing, processes).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create 3D CAD models and production drawings for retail fixtures and décor
  • Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routings in ERP/MRP systems
  • Analyze project scope and define manufacturing, packaging, and installation approaches
  • Generate cost estimates for labor, materials, and production processes
  • Collaborate with design, estimating, production, and installation teams to ensure successful execution
  • Translate concepts into accurate shop drawings and production-ready documentation
  • Monitor production progress, identify issues, and recommend solutions
  • Apply knowledge of materials (wood, metal, plastics) and manufacturing methods to optimize designs
  • Participate in production and installation kickoff meetings
  • Support product lifecycle improvements, including cost reduction and value engineering
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • 2–5+ years of experience in CAD detailing, production planning, or product development
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, or similar CAD software
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and BOM management
  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, architectural drawings, and specifications
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials (metal, wood, plastics)
  • Solid math skills (geometry, material calculations, estimating)
  • Strong problem-solving, organization, and communication skills

Preferred:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Drafting, Construction, or related field

Schedule & Location:

  • Onsite in Eugene, OR
  • Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Occasional overtime based on project demand

Why Join KRS:

  • Work on custom, high-visibility retail projects
  • Strong collaboration across design, engineering, and manufacturing
  • Opportunity to influence product development and manufacturing strategy
